Meet the Teacher
Hi! My name is Jordan Dison. I am happily married to my husband, Cody and we are Mommy and Daddy to our beautiful, baby girl, named Elsie. We currently live in Piney Flats with our "fur baby", Patches, who is a calico cat. We are active in our church and believe teaching must be a "calling"....as we are both teachers in public schools.
Upon beginning higher education, I decided that I wanted to be a lawyer and actually pursued that idea until my love for learning and for young children changed my mind. That is when I changed my major and decided to go into a career in education. While earning my B.S. in Early Childhood Education, that decision was reaffirmed by the experiences and relationships formed in many field hours.
Upon receiving my degree in 2011, I worked as a substitute in Johnson City, and then as a small group remediation instructor and after-school Homework Club organizer. Ultimately, those jobs lead me to a short kindergarten interim, and a full-time, permanent position in kindergarten, here at Woodland. I now, am making the transition to second grade. What a GREAT place to call "home"! :)
I am so fortunate to be part of such a talented staff, caring community, and supportive second grade team! If you are also part of this great family, I hope you count it an honor, as do I.
Warmest Regards,
Mrs. Dison
